Sri Ganesh Temple

The impetus for this project was the growing need of the Hindu population in Columbus Indiana. This grassroots community has been gathering in a small house they purchased twenty years ago at the edge of town. This new temple design situates this community within the civic fabric of downtown Columbus. The goal of this project is to blend traditional Hindu building symbolism with a contemporary expression that is unique to the values and religious practices of this hybrid community.
